Colour Feature by JSW Paints and Joanna Bodzek
In an exciting collaboration with Presenting Partner JSW Paints, visual artist Joanna Bodzek presented All I Know is How I Feel at Design Mumbai, an exhilarating exploration of colour. Reflecting on the unique design feature, Bodzek shared, “Life is shifting, evolving in unseen ways. Amidst wars and an unpredictable economy, life feels uncertain, in transition. All we can truly hold on to is how we feel.” Teasing the experiential space, she added, “There is power in pink—in its ability to transform space, hold memories, and nurture belonging.”
Royal Enfield Hub
Design Mumbai partnered with Royal Enfield, the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, to connect the heritage brand with the design community through Design Passport. This initiative featured tailored talks and workshops across 10 Royal Enfield showrooms in India, launching at Design Mumbai. Visitors experienced the beauty, power, and timelessness of the 2024 Classic 350 through interactive displays at Royal Enfield’s striking design feature.
Design Feature: THE Park Hotels and Richard Hutten
Richard Hutten, the Dutch industrial designer and founding member of Droog Design, collaborated with THE Park Hotels to create a hotel room concept inspired by soft minimalism. “Rooted in north European minimalism, I used warm materials and soft shapes, adding details for an east-meets-west feel, where India meets Holland,” said Hutten. The rooms featured furniture and accessories from Objectry, Jaipur Rugs, Fusion Access, Loco Design, and VitrA.
Entrance Feature by Kling Klang Klong
Our show-starter entrance was designed by Kling Klang Klong, the Berlin-based creative studio that composes sound and code for sonic experiences. Their work was interactive, generative, and grounded in spellbinding storytelling. Design Mumbai 2024’s entrance became a fusion of music, colour, and light, creating a mesmerising first impression that set the tone for the show.
SRIVAN Pavilion by Studio Saar
Studio Saar, the UK and Udaipur-based architecture practice, unveiled Srivan (श्रीवन), a modular pavilion inspired by ancient Indian principles of forestry and nature conservation. Positioned beside the main fair premises in Mumbai’s Jio World Garden, Srivan—meaning “forest of prosperity”—formed an expansive canopy, creating a shaded breakout area for guests and exhibitors.
Material Lab by Chris Lefteri
What lay beneath the surface of great design? Materials expert Chris Lefteri’s Materials Lab offered insights into the most sought-after finishes for interior designers.
Magical Bloom by Vibhor Sogani
The prolific Indian artist and product designer Vibhor Sogani presented Magical Bloom at Design Mumbai. This installation, designed exclusively for the event, channeled light through countless polished stainless steel spheres, forming the shape of a flower in bloom. “In our fast-paced modern lives, we often overlook the richness and wonder that surrounds us. Magical Bloom prompts us to appreciate the details in the natural world,” said Sogani.
Soho House Lounge
Soho House Mumbai, Design Mumbai’s official food and beverage partner, popped up at Jio World Garden, serving delicious bites and cocktails while providing guests with a stylish space to unwind.
