Setting A New Standard

Wicker pendant Lamp. Design Mumbai

This is India’s first show with an international presence, putting a laser sharp focus on contemporary design. The four-day B2B trade event showcases both established and emerging talent from interior product sectors, offering valuable industry exposure and networking opportunities.

India’s creativity, natural, capital, vast reservoir of skills, technology and rich history should be more widely recognised and celebrated. I’m happy to engage with Design Mumbai as a new platform that can broadcast the design wealth of this extraordinary subcontinent.

India's market potential

India is definitely the choice market to focus on.

Theo Williams, Designer global retail brand consultant, brand owner, UK.

As the world’s 5th biggest economy, India is a priority target market for an increasing number of international brands, and with a predicted annual capital growth rate of 10.5%, India’s interiors and design market is expected to reach US $51.4 billion by 2028. The real estate and architectural sector alone is predicted to grow from $200 billion in 2021 to $1 trillion in 2030.

India also plans to spend US $1.4 trillion on infrastructure in the next five years and the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals is forecast to increase by 39% between 2021 and 2026. There has never been a better time or place to enter this lucrative and growing market than Design Mumbai in November 2024.
